VOY Advises Legendary Play on Series A Extension
A team led by Kristian Lutz advised gaming startups Legendary Play on the extension of its USD 4M financing round.
The financing round was co-led by Bitkraft Ventures and MTG, with participation from 1Up Ventures and Level Up. The new funding enables the esports-themed mobile developer to create a co-op role-playing game about fans living the life of an esports athlete.

Legendary Play was incubated as Meta Games in 2017 as part of the Bitkraft Seed Portfolio by its founders, Roman Frank, Philipp Karstaedt and Arvid Hahn. The team released its first mobile game targeting an esports audience, the Rivals Esports Manager, in October 2020. In the same month, it announced a USD 2M investment round led by Bitkraft Ventures to complete the game’s development and fund new game projects. Rivals, which surpassed 1 million downloads in 2021, monetizes through microtransactions.
